I began my painting career in 1995. I served my apprenticeship with one of the most diversified painting companies on the Southside of Chicago.
I literally did every part of the trade on a weekly basis. One day I would be hanging a $3,000 bolt of silk wallcovering in a high-priced lawyer’s office on Wacker Drive, the next day I would be sand blasting a tank. I served my apprenticeship and graduated in 1998. I went on to work for some of the biggest paint shops in Chicagoland, becoming a foreman in the process and expanding my knowledge to do high rises and 250 home subdivisions. By the early 2000’s, I was in charge of 30 painters, tapers and drywallers.
By the grace of God, one day I decided to take a leap of faith and started my own company and succeeded up until the crash of the 2008. Then, I met up with Keith and as they say the rest was history, I started at Zofkie's Painting Inc. and quickly helped lock down the commercial partners and production. As the years went on I would get in Keith’s ear about wanting more than just painting and running crews. Keith offered me the Project Manager position and I accepted. I estimated projects and ran the crews for a few years, until I became a Sales/Project Manager, now I manage all areas in ZPI. Which leads me to the next adventure, being the General Manager, coming in 2024 a partner in ZPI Dallas/Houston.
